Job Summary (List Format) :

  • Position : IT Program Manager (Hybrid, Contract)
  • Pay Rate : $60.00 per hour
  • Work Location : Hybrid (must report onsite in Atlanta, GA as directed)
  • Department : State government agency, Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Aging Services (DAS)
  • Reports To : IT Assistant Deputy Commissioner

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and provide project management across all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Develop and maintain project management tools (scope, risk, communication, change control, performance tracking)
  • Manage project costs, schedules, resources, scope, issues, and risks
  • Monitor and report project performance, milestones, and risks to leadership
  • Guide project teams, lead status meetings, and advise on scope changes and recommended actions
  • Collaborate with steering committee and senior management to optimize project processes
  • Lead project kickoff meetings and define roles / responsibilities
  • Ensure deliverables meet expectations via product verification and conduct lessons learned reviews

    • Required Qualifications :

  • PMP certification from PMI or equivalent (must provide certification)
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or specialized training
  • Minimum 7 years of experience leading moderate to high complexity projects
  • 7 years of hands-on experience with MS Project, MS Visio, SharePoint 2013, and MS O365
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Teams, and SharePoint
  • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience coordinating vendor-managed projects within last 5 years
  • Experience in public sector IT and / or outsourced environments
  • Executive-level communication skills
