Position :
The College of Health Professions invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Clinical Assistant / Clinical Associate Professor position in the Nursing department. Preferred start date January 2026.
Qualifications :
A practice doctorate in nursing or evidence of educational and experiential equivalent with expertise in a respective specialty area is required. Evidence of teaching experience is required. All candidates are expected to possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, advising, scholarship and practice. Teaching responsibilities may occur on one of two campuses : Towson University campus in Baltimore County and Towson University Northeast campus in Harford County. Nursing licensure or eligibility for licensure in Maryland is required. Demonstrated success in working with diverse populations is necessary. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Academic rank as a Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor will be commensurate with qualifications and university promotion criteria.
Responsibilities :
1)Teaching - provide high quality instruction in a variety of undergraduate and / or graduate nursing courses to a high diverse group of students, advise and mentor students as they matriculate through the program and prepare to enter the profession; 2) Scholarship – pursue, contribute and / or collaborate with colleagues in scholarship that reflects one’s area of specialization ; this may include publications, quality improvement projects and grant related initiative; 3) Service – active service participation at the Department, College, University, Profession and community levels.
The Department :
The Department of Nursing is one of five academic units within the College of Health Professions. Accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), the department enrolls approximately 600 pre-licensure undergraduate students, including those in the Associate-to-Bachelor’s degree program, and approximately 35 students in the Entry-Level Master of Science in Nursing program.

Salary and Benefits :
Targeted salary range : Clinical Assistant Professor $83,000-$86,000 or Clinical Associate Professor $95,000-$98.000. Salary range commensurate with experience.
