Job Description

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Mechanic - I&E located in Belle Chasse, LA through July 29th, 2025 at 11 : 59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

Overview :

The Mechanic is an hourly position that works closely with other Mechanics to complete daily actives for the I&E maintenance craft. The Mechanic will directly interface with head mechanics, foreman, and engineers of other crafts. The Mechanic's daily activities may include field execution of work orders, identifying parts, troubleshooting equipment issues, keeping equipment files up to date, etc. The Mechanic will report back to Head Mechanic and Operations / Maintenance Coordinator as to the work status, work progress, any issues and what steps were taken to correct the issues. The Mechanic will be expected to attend trainings pertaining to the craft. The Mechanic works closely with the Lab, Storeroom, Procurement, Reliability, Engineering, and Operations and must develop a good working relationship with these departments. The Mechanic work will involve the use of a CMMS system for workorder failure code entry, material check out, etc. The Mechanic work may also involve use of other computer programs to track work progress or develop reports.
