Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a Level 1 trauma environment with ARRT, IEMA Radiography License, and Epic charting experience required.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital radiology department serving a Level 1 trauma centerAdult and diverse patient populationDay shift from 11 : 00 AM to 11 : 00 PM, 3 days per week, with backup call rotationPerform radiographic imaging procedures including use of portable radiography equipment and C-arm in patient rooms, ICU, and surgeryEpic EMR system experience requiredPosition and immobilize patients, operate and adjust imaging equipment, and use radiation safety measures to ensure staff and patient safetyAssist radiologists with routine fluoroscopic and invasive proceduresPerform quality control activities and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentationMaintain equipment and supplies, and report inventory deficiencies as neededProvide guidance to students in general radiology proceduresCourtesy and professionalism in all guest relations and telephone interactions are expectedNo local candidates accepted; candidates must live at least 50 miles from facilityReturn time off (RTO) not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contractContingent workers may not be on assignment for more than 1 year and must take a 6-month break before returningRequirements
Current ARRT Radiography (R) certification requiredIEMA Radiography License for Illinois required; license required if applicableCurrent BLS certification (American Heart Association)Associate's degree in a related field or certificate in Radiologic Technology requiredMinimum of 1 year of relevant radiology technologist experienceExperience in Level 1 trauma setting requiredDocumented experience with Epic charting systemBenefits
