Essential Functions and Qualifications
Under minimal supervision, develop, market, and implement creative and engaging material for Community Education's Fee-Based and College for Kids programs. Ensure that activities are safely and effectively implemented in an organized and professional manner.
Minimum Qualifications
Required : Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community education and recreation students
Desirable : Teaching and / or work experience in the discipline
Additional Information
This is a short-term / temporary position. Students currently enrolled at Allan Hancock College will be given priority.
Applications and course proposals will be reviewed year-round. Proposal deadlines fall on the first Friday in February, May, and October. Course proposal forms can be found at .
This assignment has no guaranteed pay or hours and will start only after hiring and course enrollment requirements are met.
SALARY : The rate of pay will vary and is based on student enrollment numbers. Net income generated from the course(s) will be split equally (50 / 50) between the college and the instructor. Compensation for instructional time starts at $16.50 per hour and is capped at $125 per hour.
