With oversight from senior leadership, this role acts as the day-to-day contact for accounts, including planning and strategy, while mentoring and leading junior staff. The ideal candidate has relevant Ad / MarTech client experience and a deep understanding of industry trends, and can identify and create compelling data-driven storylines that elevate a client’s positioning in the media.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day client contact; build rapport and trust with client contacts, serving as a go-to for strategic counsel
- Architect, oversee, and drive strategy for clients
- Read and share relevant news daily with teams and clients; identify and secure relevant media opportunities to advance clients’ business goals
- Multi-task and juggle multiple clients, teams, and tasks to meet deadlines
- Align with the team to set internal client KPIs and ensure quarterly performance benchmarks are met
- Collaborate with the portfolio lead to deliver campaigns and projects to scope, budget, and resourcing goals
- Share responsibility for the team’s finances by managing profitability, staffing, budgeting, and highlighting overservice risks or budget changes
- Build media, audience, and influencer engagement strategies
- Assist with development of new business opportunities and deliver thoughtful presentations to clients and prospects
- Mentor and coach junior team members to success
- Collaborate with peers to advance the agency\'s mission, goals, and culture
What You Have
7+ years of PR and marketing experience with strong media relations, corporate communications, and digitally-minded PR; client leadership experienceSignificant experience with adtech / martech clients and understanding of the technology; ability to translate capabilities into media-friendly narrativesProven ability to secure Tier-1 media coverage in national business media with strong trade relationships across verticals including retail, marketing, advertising, media, and general business intelligenceExperience managing client campaigns, tasks, workloads, and KPIs for client and commercial successAt least two years serving as the strategic account lead for multiple clients, preferably reporting to senior managementComfort collaborating with clients and delivering updates even when opinions differExperience managing a team of PR professionalsBenefits / What We Offer
