Pediatric NP Locums Job in Pennsylvania ASAP through at least April 2025 Assignment

Coverage Needed :

  • Pediatric NP needed to help cover Newborn Nursery after 1 / 26 / 25
  • ASAP Start through April 2025

Assignment Details / Requirements :

  • Emergency / Temp Privileges Granted
  • Shift Times : 7AM-3 : 30PM or 7 : 30AM-4PM
  • Breakdown of Shifts : 7 days per week, in some rotation with the other APP who covers the term nursery
  • Skills Required : Physical assessment of newborns, reviewing labs, interacting with parents regarding newborns' condition, educating parents, etc. APP will work with the pediatrician in the term nursery to manage the care of the newborns and coordinate discharge or the newborns.
  • Skills preferred : Blood draws, Preferred urine catheterization
  • No call
  • Board status requirement (BC / BE) : Graduate of Pediatric NP Masters program and passage of exam.
  • Certificates required : Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
  • PA / NP Compact Licensure Required
  • Must be a graduate of Pediatric NP Master s program and passage of exam
  • # of beds : 26 beds
  • Patient volumes : Average daily census of 15-18 newborns
  • Additional Staff : Physicians, Residents, APPs
  • Trauma Level : 1
  • EMR : Cerner
  • Committee / review meeting : Third Tuesday of the month
  • References needed for a complete file : Five
