Description :

This position is for a Cardiac Short Stay Nurse.

The shift is nights from 18 : 00 to 06 : 00.

There are no call requirements.

Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.

Holiday requirements include working 2 of 3 holidays.

Guaranteed hours are 36 per week.

First-time travelers are accepted.

Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from the facility.

Pending licenses are accepted, provided the candidate applies for the state license within 24 hours of the offer.

The scrub color is Caribbean Blue.

Charting is done using Cerner Powerchart.

The patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.

The average daily census is 42 patients.

This unit has 46 beds.

Each nurse is responsible for a patient ratio of 6 during both day and night shifts.

Pre-approved time off is limited to two days.

Key skills for this position include cardiovascular monitoring and management.

Experience with accessing ports and blood product administration is necessary.

Candidates should be familiar with central line care and management, continuous bladder irrigation, and interpreting dysrhythmias.

Management of cardiac drips and vasoactive drips without titration is essential.

Experience with telemetry and remote monitoring is required.

Wound care and the use of rapid response teams are also part of the job.

Travelers need to complete up to 8 hours of modules within one week of signing.

These modules are self-reported and must be completed prior to starting the position.
