American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of acute care cath lab experience and active BLS and Oregon RT or RCIS credentials.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a cardiac cath lab with 3 procedure suites in an acute care settingTypical caseload includes 5-10 cases per day focusing on PCI, diagnostic catheterizations, device implants, peripheral / IR procedures, and IVC filter placementsScrubbing tableside with the physician is the primary role, with additional circulator responsibilities as neededProcedures include coronary and peripheral interventions, STEMI, IR cases, device implants, atherectomy, Impella and IABP managementMust be competent in all access site management such as groin, radial, and drainsUses Meditech EMR, MCKesson / GE equipment; cath lab is the site of all IR proceduresDay shifts are scheduled as four 10-hour days, 7 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pmOn call required every 4th day and every 4th weekend, with a 20-minute response timePrimary duties include scrubbing all cases tableside, access site management, and assisting with groin / radial access and devicesNo floating required outside the cath labDepartment supplies scrubs and provides orientation with experienced team membersMust cover one major holiday and holiday weekend per year if assignment duration overlapsAll procedures for IR are conducted within the cath lab by IR physiciansReturning travelers may not have been employed by the CommonSpirit network, including CHI and Dignity, within the past year\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years cath lab experience in an acute care settingActive Oregon RT license or RCIS credential (RCIS accepted in lieu of ARRT for travelers); license required if applicableCurrent BLS (AHA) certification requiredRadiation badge required for assignment and not supplied by the facilityProven ability to set up sterile tables and scrub a variety of cath / IR casesExperience with cath and IR equipment including MCKesson / GETwo professional references : one supervisor from the past year and one peer or supervisor from the past three years, both with employment datesCopy of driver's license required for consideration\n Benefits\n
