About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 18 months of experience in a similar setting is required.

License : Must have a valid RN license prior to start date.

Certifications : ACLS and BCLS are required.

Must-Have :

• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Experience with telemetry and IV start is necessary.
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.

Description :

This position involves working with medical patients primarily.

Common patient diagnoses include COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, COVID-19, chest pain, and small bowel obstruction.

The unit has a small surgical case load of approximately 1-3 post-surgical cases per day.

These cases may include gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, colectomy, mastectomy, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy.

Nurses in this role will follow a patient ratio of 1 : 6.

Every other weekend is required for scheduling.

Travelers may need to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary.

This role requires strong clinical skills and a proactive approach to patient care.

Candidates must possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The unit will not accommodate time off during specified holiday dates.
