Overview
Performs Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) of high-level diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment used throughout the health system. Equipment includes CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, angiography, cardiovascular, or radiation therapy; as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventative and corrective maintenance for assigned equipment per equipment specifications and standards.
- Coordinates repairs, maintenance, modifications, etc. with clinical staff and equipment vendor.
- Completes work orders, parts orders, part returns, expense forms, timesheets, and other administrative paperwork.
- Provides support, or access to support, to clinical imaging staff on the optimal operation of imaging equipment. Coordinate with internal / external resources as required.
- Maintains knowledge of vendor agreements, service contracts, and second source part contacts to provide high quality, timely, and cost effective repairs.
- Must be able to participate in after-hours / weekend on-call rotation involving support, or coordinating support, for multiple product lines.
- Maintains necessary parts and supply inventory.
- Maintains equipment identification information within service database.
Qualifications
Required
Associate's Degree in electronics technology, medical electronics, biomedical engineering, related field, or equivalent3 years of relevant experience as an imaging field service engineer or related fieldCRT : At least one License and / or Certification in area of specialtyPreferred
