Field Service Radiology Engineer

Overview

Performs Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) of high-level diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment used throughout the health system. Equipment includes CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, angiography, cardiovascular, or radiation therapy; as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and corrective maintenance for assigned equipment per equipment specifications and standards.
• Coordinates repairs, maintenance, modifications, etc. with clinical staff and equipment vendor.
• Completes work orders, parts orders, part returns, expense forms, timesheets, and other administrative paperwork.
• Provides support, or access to support, to clinical imaging staff on the optimal operation of imaging equipment. Coordinate with internal / external resources as required.
• Maintains knowledge of vendor agreements, service contracts, and second source part contacts to provide high quality, timely, and cost effective repairs.
• Must be able to participate in after-hours / weekend on-call rotation involving support, or coordinating support, for multiple product lines.
• Maintains necessary parts and supply inventory.
• Maintains equipment identification information within service database.
