Overview
Airbus Americas, Inc is looking for a Site Security Systems Assistant Manager to join our team based in Kinston, NC. This role is contingent upon regulatory approvals and the successful closing of a transaction establishing a new Airbus Affiliate in Kinston, NC (the "Kinston Affiliate"). The SSSM will support the Site Security Manager (SSM) by providing oversight and direction of protection of people, processes, and physical assets.
Responsibilities
- Plan, initiate and supervise site Security Programs : 40%
- Ensure compliance with State and Federal legislation and regulatory requirements (Airport, TSA, CBP, etc.) and Airbus directives.
- Maintain knowledge of current security technology and trends; manage the operational site security budget (Opex and Capex) per directives.
- Maintain contractual compliance for guarding, surveillance, reception, remote surveillance, security administration, and related services.
- Respond to security incidents, investigate breaches, and recommend preventive improvements.
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits; recommend posture improvements.
- Create and track purchase orders for security items; maintain budget-aligned databases.
- Liaise with external security contractors to ensure compliance and quality; review KPIs monthly with the SSM.
- Develop security awareness campaigns and coordinate vendor SOPs for catastrophic events and crises.
- Coordinate activities with local contracted security services to enhance overall security posture.
- Support the SSM to ensure consistency and performance of the site security program; design / adapt risk management and events management processes; coordinate contingency planning exercises and lead first response operations during major events.
- Identify gaps in security programs and work toward continual improvement within Airbus affiliate culture; may temporarily fill the SSM duties during short absences.
- Manage Program Teams & Stakeholders : 15%
- Manage stakeholder expectations; work with Security Country Manager, SSM, HR, Finance, IT, Legal to address security requirements; resolve issues and communicate program expectations.
- Execute, Monitor and Control : 20%
- Track program milestones; develop progress reports, proposals, requirements, and presentations; manage training and exercise programs.
- Additional Responsibilities : 25%
- Other duties as assigned by the Site Security Manager.
Your Boarding Pass
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (4+ years) in law enforcement or security (Required).5+ years of equivalent work experience, including security programs, program management and business continuity planning (Required).3+ years experience in team management (Required).Knowledge of security systems and technologies (e.g., access controls, CCTV).Strong leadership and project management skills; experience in business impact analysis and vulnerability assessments.Ability to stay current on applicable state / federal laws and industry best practices; knowledge of TSA, DHS, FAA regulations.Must be authorized to work in the US.Skills & Capabilities
