We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our team in Corona, California. This is a contract position that requires expertise in family law and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, technical proficiency, and a commitment to delivering exceptional support to attorneys and clients.
Responsibilities :
- Draft and prepare legal documents such as petitions, motions, responses, and agreements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to templates.
- Manage discovery processes, including propounding and responding to discovery requests using established firm procedures and tools.
- Oversee case management for a portfolio of 30–60 cases, ensuring timely progress from initial filing to resolution.
- Collaborate with legal assistants for filings and document preparation, maintaining a smooth workflow.
- Coordinate with intake and receptionist staff to ensure comprehensive case support and client communication.
- Maintain organization and tracking of case files and deadlines to ensure compliance with legal timelines.
- Provide trial preparation assistance, including assembling necessary materials and supporting attorneys during litigation.
- Ensure proper use of platforms such as Clio, Microsoft Office 365, and Dropbox for case management and documentation.
- Uphold confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive family law matters.
- Minimum of three consecutive years of direct experience as a family law paralegal.
- Proficiency with legal software platforms such as Clio, Microsoft Office 365, and Dropbox.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and case handling.
- Familiarity with discovery processes and trial preparation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively with clients and staff.
