Description

Minimally supervised, performs clerical and administrative duties of considerable difficulty; compiles data and operates computer and computerized systems in performance of routine clerical duties to maintain business records and reports by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties

• Must be capable of regular and predictable attendance at a specified location in order to perform assigned tasks.
• Types business correspondence from oral and written communication.
• Processes payments, maintains and balances cash drawer.
• Calculates and collects fees when transferring ownership of motor vehicle titles, add / release liens, vehicle registration renewals and property tax collections.
• Reviews work of others to ensure proper format, correctness and completeness when imaging title documents.
• Provides general information to the general public in the work place or over the telephone.
• Operates various computer software programs to process, record, and maintain real estate records, motor vehicle titles and registrations and other legal documents.
• Collects revenues on behalf of Clerk of Courts, Department of Revenue and County parking tickets
• Assists the general public with questions and researching real estate records.
• Determines what is confidential or public record in the motor vehicle department for general public inquires.
• Tracks and files claims on bankruptcies.
• Works with tax sales : registering, calculating, tracking and notification.
• Generates and maintains mobile home park reports, mobile home taxes, clearances and transfers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervision is received from Department Head or other designated official.

No functional or administrative supervision is exercised over support staff.
