A company is looking for a Clinical Document Specialist for a full-time remote position.

Key Responsibilities

Utilize clinical, coding, and Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) knowledge to enhance the quality of medical record documentation

Identify factors affecting the complexity of patient diagnoses and treatment plans

Collaborate with healthcare providers and serve as a CDI resource within the organization

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure; BSN preferred

Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) with current licensure preferred

Three to five (3-5) years of clinical nursing or advanced practice provider experience in an acute care setting, preferably critical care

Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with ICD-10-CM Coding Guidelines

Understanding of healthcare fiscal management goals and strategies preferred
