Maintenance Technician Senior

Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on plant and production equipment issues using schematics and technical drawings.

• Performs preventative and required maintenance on production and plant equipment. Repairs equipment, systems, conveyors and / or other systems at the facility.
• Documents maintenance and preventive services performed, and actions taken to fix issues.
• Works with pneumatics, electrical, hydraulic and / or air compressor systems (varies by business unit).
• Provides production and physical plant maintenance support.
• Identifies and implements ideas for process improvements, safety, quality and waste management.
• Inspects alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
• May act as a resource to less experience technicians to assist with troubleshooting issues and understanding policies / procedures.
• Promotes company safety policies, workmanship standards and operational procedures among team members while displaying strong quality consciousness at all times.
• May performs other various duties such as assembly, operating equipment, machining and welding.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education : Typically requires an associate / technical degree in a maintenance technology, a related certification, or equivalent.

Experience : Typically requires 5 years of manufacturing experience.
