Job Description

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Access Control in Pennsauken, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves interacting with staff and visitors, verifying credentials, and providing excellent customer service while supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the manufacturing and industrial location.

Control access to the facility by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.

Monitor surveillance systems and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.

Assist with emergency response activities as needed, in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and access control logs.

Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and / or contractors to provide assistance and information as needed.

What We're Looking For :

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Experience working at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
