Senior Sales Account Executive

Client : Japanese IT and communications services company

Working Location : New York, NY

Working Style : Hybrid

Employment Type : Full-Time Exempt

Salary : $80,000 - $120,000 per year (DOE)

Benefits : Insurance, PTO, 401K

Language : English (Japanese not required)

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prospect and solicit new business to drive customer acquisition for the company
  • Qualify prospects against company criteria for ideal customers and sales
  • Articulate company's value proposition, key differentiators, and competitive positioning to prospects, including C-level executives
  • Identify and qualify business opportunities to sell product and service-based IT solutions
  • Cultivate long-term relationships and build trust with C-level executives and key decision-makers
  • Leverage industry trends to develop compelling value propositions addressing client needs
  • Manage day-to-day client needs, report progress to Director of Sales, and identify new business opportunities
  • Stay updated on the latest technology initiatives and solutions
  • Handle complex enterprise network accounts involving network infrastructure, design, and custom applications
  • Conduct consultative selling, account planning, and account management with a strong emphasis on customer service
  • Collaborate with Project Management and Operations in pre-sale and post-sale activities
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasting information and manage pipeline health
  • Focus on target attainment and perform necessary activities to meet sales targets
  • Represent the company and its brand positively in the marketplace
  • Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity

The Right Candidate Will Possess :

  • In-depth understanding and passion for the network and data center business
  • Established client base in NYC and surrounding areas is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of network security, data center solutions, hybrid cloud, managed services, Voice over IP, and willingness to learn emerging technologies
  • Team player who inspires confidence among Company's executive leadership, colleagues, and client partners
  • Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills; comfortable presenting to large groups
  • Solid problem-solving and consultative solutions-selling skills
  • Self-driven, motivated, and results-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical aptitude and ability to translate complex concepts
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Prior experience maintaining successful ongoing business partner relationships with customers
  • Required Qualifications & Skills :

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience selling Data Center and Networking solutions
  • Bachelor's degree encompassing both technical and business disciplines is a plus
  • Willingness and ability to conduct and attend meetings and communications outside of normal working hours to accommodate international teams, as needed
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, senior management, staff, and partners
  • Previous experience working with / presenting to executive audiences
