Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : 1 year required with skilled home care experience; must have OASIS training and experience

License : Valid FL license or a compact license required

Certifications : BCLS required

Must-Have :

  • Skilled home care experience; private duty nursing experience only is not accepted
  • Home health experience with OASIS training and experience
  • IV skills and wound care
  • Valid driver's license and access to a car for home visits
  • COVID vaccination required, with medical / religious exemption options
  • Flu shot or mandatory mask-wearing if declined

Job Description :

  • Conduct home health visits, managing 6-8 skilled visits per day
  • Provide care for high-risk diagnoses including heart failure, COPD, myocardial infarction, pneumonia, and stroke
  • Perform post-operative care
  • Conduct cardiopulmonary assessments and basic wound care
  • Manage ABI compression dressings, wound vac dressings, and Pleurx / Asept drain care
  • Care for foley catheters, staple / suture removal
  • Use glucometer and pro-time machine, and administer SQ / IM injections
  • Perform lab draws via venipuncture, and manage IV skills, PICC line or Midline care, and dressing changes
  • Access and de-access SQ ports
  • Support home skilled visits for Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Commercial insurances
  • Utilize laptop, MiFi for internet access, and portable printers
  • Complete documentation using specific forms, scheduling, and timesheet systems
  • Fulfill self-scheduled visits and hours based on the needs of the HomeCare office

    • Additional Notes :

  • Shift days and hours may vary according to the needs of the HomeCare office (e.g., Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm or Monday - Friday 9 am to 6 pm)
  • Alternating weekend shifts may be required
  • Candidates may float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
