Eaton's FFD Fluid Filtration Division is seeking a Senior Technical Service Specialist. This is a full-time role, M-F daytime hours, with the option for hybrid-remote work (2 days per week from home). Location options include Chanhassen, MN or Tinton Falls, NJ.

Eaton is a leader in liquid filtration serving industries such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, industrial and municipal water, petrochemicals, marine, automotive, agriculture and construction equipment, and power generation. The expected annual salary range is $83,250.00–$122,100.00 and the position is eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What You'll Do

The Senior Technical Service Specialist serves as a key product knowledge expert for sales, customer service, and project coordination. They apply their knowledge of Filtration products to educate internal and external partners, review incoming requests for proposal, and develop accurate and competitive techno-commercial proposals in concert with the sales team and channel partners.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary technical resource supporting the North America and global sales team, distributors, and product end users with accurate product and application knowledge.
  • Develop and produce professional techno-commercial proposal packages for complex and custom Filtration product lines in addition to standard and configurable products.
  • Evaluate commercial and technical requirements of requests for proposal, advise customers of conflicts, and recommend changes.
  • Review incoming project orders and transmit them to the engineering and project coordination teams.
  • Conduct in-house and field training on filter sizing, pricing, application, and function to develop market channels' filter system knowledge.
  • Maintain current market knowledge and other job skills through field study, internal and external educational opportunities, and industry affiliations.
  • Provide feedback to the engineering and sales team to support new product and market development.
  • Assist marketing and pricing teams in developing and maintaining product literature and price guides.
  • Analyze data and prepare quarterly reports on product line sales performance.
  • Lead periodic ad-hoc projects in support of sales, marketing, and operations goals.
  • Facilitate and engage in intradepartmental learning and cross-training to broaden product knowledge for yourself and other team members.
  • Support the customer service team by responding to customer phone calls and emails as needed.

Qualifications

Basic (Required) Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and four (4)+ years of experience in industrial technical sales, manufacturing operations, or engineering OR an HS Diploma and seven (7)+ years of experience in industrial technical sales, manufacturing operations, or engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience with liquid filtration applications.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Chanhassen, MN / Tinton Falls, NJ will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from this geographical area limitation.
  • Preferred :

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or physical science from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Experience with an industrial manufacturing ERP platform.
