Experience with large-scale construction projects is a plus. Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 15%. Willingness to relocate to one of 26 Midwest hub cities (relocation assistance provided). We're hiring a Geotechnical Project Engineer to lead and support solar energy infrastructure projects across the Midwest.
What You'll Do
You'll play a key role in managing geotechnical engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include :
- Proposal & Scope Development
Prepare scopes of work and proposals for moderate to complex geotechnical projects, primarily in the solar energy field.
Analyze soil samples, review field logs, and prepare boring logs.
Conduct geotechnical evaluations and develop engineering reports with actionable recommendations.
Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and safety for routine to complex assignments.
Collaborate with regional teams to allocate resources and support technician training.
Review work performed by junior staff and resolve technical or quality-related issues.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.
Occasionally perform field testing and observations as needed.
