What You'll Do
You'll play a key role in managing geotechnical engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include :
- Proposal & Scope Development
Prepare scopes of work and proposals for moderate to complex geotechnical projects, primarily in the solar energy field.
Field & Lab ReviewAnalyze soil samples, review field logs, and prepare boring logs.
Engineering Analysis & ReportingConduct geotechnical evaluations and develop engineering reports with actionable recommendations.
Project ManagementOversee project scope, schedule, budget, and safety for routine to complex assignments.
Team CoordinationCollaborate with regional teams to allocate resources and support technician training.
Quality AssuranceReview work performed by junior staff and resolve technical or quality-related issues.
Client EngagementBuild and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.
Field SupportOccasionally perform field testing and observations as needed.
What You Bring
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).Experience managing project budgets and timelines.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline.Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within two years.5+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering or construction materials testing (preferred).Experience with large-scale construction projects is a plus.Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 15%.Willingness to relocate to one of 26 Midwest hub cities (relocation assistance provided).Benefits Overview
