Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Ortho Trauma Float Pool position, requiring an Oklahoma or compact RN license and at least one year of nursing experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the hospital's float pool with assignments in Med / Surg, Ortho, Trauma, and Post-Surgical units
  • Day shift with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
  • Care for a variety of patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex
  • Float to different units as needed based on patient needs
  • Responsible for providing nursing care, administering medications, monitoring patient responses, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor procedures
  • Expected to delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
  • Must document all nursing interventions and changes in patient condition
  • 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
  • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active RN license from Oklahoma or a compact state required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Minimum of one year of RN experience
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Experience in Med / Surg required; stepdown, post-surgical, trauma, or ortho experience preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
