The Plant Finance Leader is responsible for directing Finance and Accounting.
Job responsibilities include :
- Planning and developing controls to project production performance related to forecast.
- Projecting monthly sales and forecasts variable and period costs, and profits. Issuing weekly flash reflecting performance versus forecast.
- Preparing quarterly forecast, annual business plan, and three-year strategic plan.
- Preparing monthly capital expenditure forecasts.
- Conducting meetings and / or discussing operations at plant level to advise and recommend corrective action to profit management problems.
- Conducting variance analysis at month end and quarter end.
- Overseeing the accounting department.
- Providing advice and counsel on accounting matters to Plant Management methods to improve profit, constraint-related issues, margin management, new business opportunities, etc.
- Developing costing systems to accurately measure inventory and cost of sales values and producing accurate financial reports on a timely basis.
- Reviewing appropriation requests to determine whether return on investment and payback period meet Corporate guidelines.
- Reviewing Sarbanes Oxley narrative and walking through documentation.
- Performing monthly staff layered process audits.
- Coordinating changes in product requirements (material changes) via advanced planning meetings.
- Analyzing all variances as to business plan, forecasts and last year origin and cause in order to determine corrective action; counseling on spending in advance of commitment.
- Coordinating special studies which are initiated at the plant level as well as those required at either group or corporate level.
- Preparing monthly capital expenditure forecasts.
- Reviewing all quotations and advising Plant Manager on whether to accept business. Also advising on appropriate margin.
- Facilitating plant efforts and projects as required.
Job requirements include :
Bachelor's of Science in Accounting / Finance or related field preferred. CPA preferred.5-7 years of accounting experience preferred.
