Business Development Manager Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager - Data Centers to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and nurturing new business opportunities across multiple industry verticals, with a primary focus on data centers. You will lead business development efforts, build strong relationships with key decision-makers, and execute a strategic plan to expand market share.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities :

  • Research growth markets, define business requirements, and execute a strategic plan to expand market share
  • Develop and execute a multi-faceted sales plan, with direct outreach to prospective clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across customer organizations
  • Partner with marketing to develop targeted go-to-market strategies, campaigns, and events
  • Identify customer challenges and align solutions to meet short- and long-term needs
  • Participate in a collaborative sales process with peers and internal teams to move prospects through the pipeline
  • Develop and negotiate competitive pricing strategies
  • Track and manage all opportunities in CRM software to ensure visibility and timely follow-up
  • Establish networking relationships with customers, industry associations, and business partners
  • Provide technical presentations and training to diverse audiences
  • Monitor industry trends and represent the company at trade shows, sales meetings, and professional events
  • Define sales potential, prepare budgets, and complete required reporting
  • Collaborate with leadership on business development goals and strategies

Business Development Manager Position Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in B2B sales, technical, or project-based sales
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 60%
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Experience leading complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders
  • Proficient in negotiation, value-added selling, and time / travel management
  • Prior involvement with industry associations or non-profit groups preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
