Safety Manager I or II (Renewables Construction - Nationwide Opportunities!)
Company : MasTec Renewables (Wanzek Construction, IEA Constructors, White Construction) – a major player in renewable energy construction.
Location : United States – nationwide travel to project sites. This is a traveling position (up to 100%), with on-site placements across the US and an average of 8-12 months per project. Per diem and a vehicle provided.

Join the movement to power a cleaner future. We are seeking experienced and driven Safety Managers in renewables construction. You will participate in planning, organizing, and implementing the company's Safety Program at construction projects, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and corporate health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead on-site safety management under EHS leadership, supervising Safety Managers, Coordinators, and Specialists; uphold ethical standards and open communication.
- Conduct workplace safety checks, document actions in daily reports, perform required safety inspections, implement the Safety Program, and monitor results via project safety scorecards.
- Assist in writing and organizing jobsite safety plans; review Pre-Task Plans for continuous improvement; collaborate with the Site Production Manager on safety and environmental plans; manage the injury management program and partner with local physicians.
- Coordinate safety training (New Hire Orientation, Fall Protection, Lockout / Tagout, etc.); participate in weekly safety meetings and the R4 Safety Committee; ensure quality incident reports and lead investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Maintain communication with clients on safety matters; participate in site inspections and permits compliance testing; coordinate training needs, injury management, and OSHA reporting with Corporate Safety; administer the drug and alcohol policy and manage first aid supplies.
- Create notices of noncompliance and ensure understanding of environmental regulations; invest in apprentices' skills and provide positive coaching; spend 60% of time in the field and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Safety Manager I : Compensation $64,000–$85,600 per year; minimum 2–3 years of construction safety leadership experience.Safety Manager II : Compensation $74,000–$98,700 per year; minimum 3–5 years of construction safety management; associates or bachelor's degree preferred; CHST or BCSP certification preferred; must obtain CHST within 1 year of start date.Knowledge / Skills : MS Office proficiency; strong written and verbal communication; knowledge of MSHA / OSHA regulations and hazard recognition; CPR / First Aid Instructor certification and training experience; pursue professional certifications (CHST, CMSP) within 6 months.Working Environment
