Position Summary :

Ensures integrity of Gaven’s shielding products; work is frequently performed off-site at client facilities. When on-site, acts as lead for Test Techs, makes decisions in test approach and trouble-shooting, interfaces with customer

Job Responsibilities :

  • Develops testing methodologies
  • Develop and troubleshoot control / analysis testing software
  • Develops improvements for ongoing work procedures
  • Evaluate design and ensure testability was considered during design process
  • Tests electrical filters using pulsed current injection equipment and ensures the resulting data is properly recorded and analyzed
  • Performs shielding effectiveness testing to determine the performance of a shielded enclosure; if shielding issues are discovered, recommend rework to production personnel
  • Accurately fills out test records, inventory logbooks, test reports, and other documentation
  • Troubleshoots to resolve issues such as incorrect equipment configurations, faulty data recording methods, defective devices under test, etc.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities :

  • Due to customer requirements, must be U.S. citizen and have (or be eligible for) a DoD Security Clearance
  • Solid computer skills, experience using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the year.
  • Ability to lift objects that weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Algebra level math knowledge

    • Education / Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; equivalant experience will be considered
  • Experience with operating signal measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, network and spectrum analyzers, amplifiers, signal generators, fiber optic cables and converters, preferred
