Communicate effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes. Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans. Regularly updates documentation Provides direction and leadership to staff and acts as a resource to promote physical therapy in the community. Qualifications Communication skills. Occupational therapists must clearly explain treatment programs, motivate patients, and listen to patients' concerns in order to provide effective therapy. Ability to explain complex medical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner Excellent observational and assessment skills
