Sunshine Starts is a premier day care located in the heart of Yorktown Heights- right in the Triangle Shopping Center. We are a NYS licensed day care that provides care for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years old. We also provide before and after school care for our community.

As a classroom Teacher you will :

Lead the classroom in planned curriculum / daily activities

Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development

Supervise children while keeping them safe at all times

Engage with parents to discuss their child(ren)

Help to effectively manage the classroom

Record each child's daily activities

Create and maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children

Required Qualifications / Criteria

Minimum of one year of experience as a daycare center teacher

Meet NYS OCFS teacher requirements : CDA, Bachelors degree with relevant coursework, or plan of study

Friendly, nurturing, engaging and professional demeanor

Strong work ethic

Have dependable transportation

Be punctual

Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a large group of children

Be able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children as required
