About The Position

• Every third weekend required (8 weekend shifts per contract)
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate (50-mile radius)
• 1 year experience preferred
• BSN preferred

Description :

PCU / Tele RN needed for specialized treatment of patients with serious complex health conditions.

The unit provides long-term acute care treatments including respiratory failure, osteomyelitis, complex wound care, hyperoxygenation therapy treatment, acute kidney injury, post-stroke treatment, and more.

Staffing ratios are 1 : 5 during the day.

Experience with telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, and blood product administration is essential.

Skills in central line care, management of cardiac drips, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions are required.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.

The unit has a daily census of 20 and consists of 30 patient rooms.

This role prioritizes teamwork and thorough patient care in a demanding environment.
