Our state-of-the-art Circularity Center, currently under construction in Houston, TX, will be the first large scale facility in the United States, designed to process a diverse range of post-consumer, commercial, and industrial plastic waste. This innovative center will have the capacity to produce 300 million pounds of custom-formulated feedstock per year and convert it into ISCC-PLUS-certified feedstock suitable for mechanical and advanced recycling applications.

Role Overview

Cyclyx is looking for a tech-savvy, curious, and motivated IT Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced IT environment, where you'll support day-to-day operations, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to exciting projects that keep our systems running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Provide technical support to staff via email, phone, and in-person
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity
  • Help maintain IT documentation, inventory, and asset tracking
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives and help enforce IT policies
  • Participate in system upgrades, backups, and data recovery tasks
  • Collaborate with team members on IT projects and process improvements

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems
  • Familiar with network set up
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-changing tech landscape

    Reports to : Senior Director, Technology Systems

    Location : Houston, TX, and The Woodlands / Must have transportation to travel between locations

    Work environment : Primarily an office environment, but may also work in an industrial environment at times where the use of PPE is required.

    Travel : Minimal - Less than 10% as needed to meet with members and attend off-site meetings

    Physical Demand is substantially that of an office environment. Occasional lifting and manual work.

    Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status.
