Job Description Summary

As a valuable member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional payment solutions for our enterprise merchant offering through strategic partnerships.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Inputs to product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders aligned with the shared product vision.
  • Implements the architectural roadmap balancing innovative design, regulatory requirements, time-to-market, customer needs, and product profitability.
  • Define and validate customer experience requirements and input to decision making.
  • Monitor metrics that inform product success, including usability studies, research, and market analysis.
  • Manage one or more workstreams (analytics, customer discovery, market research, competitive analysis) to drive data-driven decisions.
  • Monitor product profitability measures, including budget.
  • Participate in operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability (Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, Business Reviews). Interface with product leadership as needed.
  • Partner with content developers, data scientists, product designers, and user experience researchers.

Expected Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Additional Responsibilities And Preferred Qualifications

  • Client Aptitude : Engage with global enterprise clients to support sales teams and advise on deals with large enterprise merchants.
  • Connector : Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Finance, Support, Global Sales, Professional Services, and Account Management to drive outcomes.
  • Global Reach : This is a global role involving interaction with teams and clients worldwide.
  • Distilling Complexity : Train and educate the organization on payments and the broader commerce ecosystem; distill complex concepts into clear insights.
  • Evangelizing : Serve as a thought leader for enterprise merchants; engage in merchant communications, conferences, partner collaboration, and webinars.
  • Key Responsibilities & Accountability

  • Data Science Driven Analysis : Analyze datasets to identify trends and insights; collaborate with teams to deliver actionable insights.
  • Drive Global Payment Processing Deals : Own successful sales and account expansion for payment processing deals globally.
  • Payments Expertise for Strategic Initiatives : Advise on Local Payment Method expansion, omnichannel experiences, and ecommerce solutions.
  • Influence Product Roadmap : Collaborate to influence the Payments Platform roadmap to meet merchant needs.
  • Consult and Articulate Value : Work with commercialization teams to articulate merchant value propositions.
  • Navigate Compliance and Rules : Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks for enterprise merchants and marketplaces.
  • Establish Thought Leadership : Position PayPal as a thought leader in enabling global payments for large enterprises and marketplaces.
  • Strengthen Organizational Systems : Improve systems related to regulations, compliance, legal, scheme rules, and sales motions.
  • Skills, Experience and Education

  • Data Science Proficiency : Design and implement advanced data analysis models; drive data science best practices.
  • Payments Industry Expertise : 5+ years in payments, especially with large enterprise card and payment processing.
  • B2B Sales & Relationship Building : 2–3 years in B2B sales and relationship development.
  • Partner Relationship Development : Experience in identifying and contracting enterprise partnerships.
  • Enterprise Merchant & Marketplace Expertise : Hands-on experience with processing and payout needs of enterprise merchants and marketplaces.
  • Regional Payments Experience : Experience in EU / UK / EMEA / APAC / LatAm regions.
  • Effective Communication : Strong ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • B2B and Product Software Proficiency : Proficient with tools like PowerPoint, Salesforce, Jira, and SharePoint.
