Pre-Construction Estimator - HVAC / Mechanical Systems

Job Description

Pay : $90,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Note : This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the Charlotte, NC office.

Note : The qualified candidate for this position must have at least 3 years of experience in HVAC / mechanical estimating within the construction industry.

Job Description

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
• Review blueprints, technical specifications, and scopes of work to determine requirements
• Conduct material takeoffs and ensure precise quantities are included in project bids
• Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes to build competitive proposals
• Provide value engineering recommendations to balance cost, quality, and project goals
• Maintain knowledge of current labor rates, material costs, and market conditions
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to refine project details
• Submit comprehensive bid packages and assist with post-bid activities such as cost tracking and change orders
