Description : OBJECTIVE :

The Extrusion Production Worker will produce the extruded products within the defined specifications while performing all necessary duties to operate and maintain extrusion equipment. Supports daily quality activities and processes in relation to production and scheduling requirements. Will also support manufacturing process issues to achieve and maintain quality standards that meet and / or exceed the expectations of our customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Ensure proper materials are used to set screw and profile temperatures.
• Ensure proper water flow to extruders and temperature controllers.
• Set hot air oven temperatures and microwave profile.
• Set proper puller and drive speeds appropriated to design profile.
• Align and utilize proper equipment, brushing machine, cooling trough, etc.
• Set-up and operate trace ability printer and operate Pixargus.
• Set-up, start, maintain, and properly secure in-line coating applications.
• Set-up and string sup-straight media as required and utilize / prepare proper packaging.
• Ability to set-up, mix components (paint), maintain spray systems and quality standards with minimal scrap.
• Ability to change gun components as required, maintain spray fluid levels, clean the entire system, and replace hoses.
• Maintain, clean, and assemble / disassemble dies properly.
• Responsible for Extrusion line scrap control, startup, and die changes to ensure the line is running smoothly and timely.
• Execute a team lift for screw changes.
• Must be able to PE weld, set-up plasma unit, mix / apply flock glue, and know all aspects of the flocking machine, including but not limited to, set-up, operating, filling, and cleaning.
• Inspect and pack flock profile and do on-line flock testing.
• Perform inline carrier welds. Operate electric and manual pallet jacks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The work environment is not temperature controlled and the employee may be exposed to high heat work conditions.

The employee must frequently lift, push, pull, and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift, push, pull, and / or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Exposure to moderate noise levels is probable.
