Category 7A - General Household Pest Management Category 7B - Termite Control Category 7C - Fumigation Category 7D - Community Insect Management Category 7E - Wood Preservatives Category 8 - Public Health Pest Control Minimum of 3 years as a practicing licensed exterminator Minimum of 2 years on the job supervisory experience. Basic to intermediate knowledge and proficiency with office and contractor computer programs. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Hold a current or willing to obtain CPR / First Aid Certification Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen Direct supervision by the Lead Pest Control Instructor / Apprenticeship Director
Pest Control Trainer
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Follow established rules and regulations; maintain a safe, clean working environment.
- Daily supervision & mentorship of Meskwaki Apprenticeship Program participants in the evaluation / identity of pest infestations; methods of treatment and preventative measures.
- Organize, file and maintain daily records
- Assist in the coordination and completion of residential / commercial service calls.
- Assist in the planning & coordination of on the job and learning lab activities
- Assist in the assessment / evaluation of Meskwaki Apprenticeship Program participants
- Assist in the development & execution of on the job learning in accordance to the Meskwaki Apprenticeship Program curriculum
- Assist with ordering & maintenance of material, tools, and safety equipment.
- Assist with the implementation, delivery, and execution of the Exterminator course curriculum.
- Assist with the evaluation and grading of apprenticeship program participants.
- Assist in the creation of project plans; materials, quotes, budgets, timelines
- Effectively integrate technology and sustainable pest control practices into the apprenticeship learning environment.
- Proper deployment of chemical solutions, powders, gasses, traps, baits.
- Insure adherence to US Department of Labor Apprenticeship Standards.
- Attend required meetings / trainings as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
