Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Huntington Beach, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling retail and mall locations to help create a secure environment for customers, tenants, and staff. Your presence and regular patrols will help to deter security-related incidents, while your excellent communication and customer service skills will contribute to a positive experience for everyone at the site. You will be a valued part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity, all while putting people first.

What You'll Do :

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a welcoming environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas for potential security-related concerns, reporting any suspicious behavior or activity according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site staff to address specific needs and requirements for the location.
  • Document all activities, observations, and incidents in a clear and timely manner as required by site policies.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience providing customer service is preferred.
  • Ability to use a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
