The Client at Mylan Park is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant General Manager Aquatics (AGM - Aquatics) to lead and grow our aquatics operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional who is passionate about aquatic programs, community engagement, and operational excellence.
As the AGM Aquatics , you will oversee the daily operations, staffing, programming, and event management of the Aquatics Department. You'll lead a dedicated team, manage pool operations and maintenance, and ensure all aquatic activities, lessons, to swim meets run smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of all aquatic facilities, ensuring compliance with state and local health codes.
- Lead, train, and manage aquatics staff, including lifeguards, instructors, and supervisors.
- Manage and schedule swim meets, practices, and community aquatic programs.
- Operate and maintain pool systems, including water chemistry, filtration, and safety equipment.
- Supervise meet management systems such as Hytek and Colorado Timing System (CTS Gen 7) .
- Develop, monitor, and audit departmental budgets to ensure financial performance goals are met.
- Support membership growth and retention through exceptional customer service and program quality.
- Participate in community events, fundraising initiatives, and overall park operations as a member of the Mylan Park management team.
- Ensure safe, clean, and welcoming facilities for all visitors and athletes.
Supervisory Duties
Manage 12 subordinate supervisors and oversee a team of 4050 aquatics employees.Lead recruitment, hiring, training, and performance evaluations.Oversee scheduling, payroll, and staff compliance with park policies.Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience in aquatics management, recreation, or related field.1-4 years of experience in aquatic facility management or recreation leadership.Required Certifications :
Current Lifeguard, CPR, AED, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration certification.Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.Preferred Certifications :
Water Safety Instructor (WSI)USA Swimming Coach and / or ASCA CertificationAmerican Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certificationTechnical Skills :
Proficiency with Hytek Meet Management Software and Colorado Timing System (CTS) .Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace).Knowledge of pool systems, water chemistry, and filtration equipment.Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and occasionally more than 100 lbs.Must be able to stand, walk, climb, or kneel as required for pool supervision and maintenance.Comfortable working in a wet and humid environment.Why Join The Client?
