A company is looking for an Associate Oncology Data Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and abstract oncology patient data for cancer registry compliance and reporting
Ensure accurate coding and documentation of cancer cases, including treatment and follow-up information
Monitor and report discrepancies in documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in health sciences or related field with coursework in Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology
Oncology Data Specialist credential (ODS-C) required within two years of hire
Two years of medical office experience related to oncology
Knowledge of coding systems and cancer registry standards
Ability to work independently and manage data abstraction efficiently
