Med / Surg RN Job Details Position : Travel Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : Gadsden, Alabama (35903) – Northeast Alabama healthcare jobs

Unit : Medical / Surgical (Med / Surg)

Shift : 12-hour days (6 : 45 AM – 7 : 15 PM), every other weekend required

Hours per Week : 36

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 – End : 2 / 9 / 2026)

Patient Ratio : 6 : 1

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1510 - $1620

Hourly Pay Rate : $72 / hour

Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact State

BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience required

Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (per travel nursing guidelines)

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced Medical / Surgical unit

Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using clinical best practices

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on health conditions, care plans, and post-discharge instructions

Float to other nursing units as needed to support hospital staffing
