Are you a veterinary student or veterinarian looking for an exciting and challenging Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Internship that will sharpen your skills and prepare you for a dynamic career in emergency veterinary medicine? At Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists (CCVS) , we offer the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work alongside a team of experienced specialists, and provide life-saving care to pets in need. Our growing specialty and emergency hospitals, located in Buzzards Bay and Dennis, MA , are the only emergency and specialty referral centers serving Cape Cod and the Islands.

• Hands-On Emergency Experience : As an intern, you'll take primary case responsibility on the ECC service, ensuring you're involved in every aspect of patient care—examining, diagnosing, and treating critically ill or injured animals.
• Expert Mentorship : You'll work under the direct supervision of 7 board-certified criticalists and experienced emergency veterinarians for over 70% of your shifts. This hands-on guidance will provide the expertise and support you need to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
• Comprehensive Training : Participate in daily cage-side rounds with specialists, journal clubs, and weekly mortality and morbidity rounds. You’ll also have the chance to present a lecture on a topic of your choice, allowing you to delve deeper into areas of interest.
