About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Must-Have :

• 1 year of Medical Surgical experience
• Will accept first-time travelers
• Ability to float between units as required

Description :

This is a 42-bed unit.

Team nursing is utilized with nurse / tech teams caring for 7 patients.

Nurses are responsible for assessments and medications.

Technicians assist with lab draws, ambulation, and hourly rounding.

A nurse navigator is assigned to help with admissions and discharges.

A medication nurse assists in the morning shift.

Patient ratios are 1 : 5-6 during the day and 1 : 6 at night.

The unit accommodates adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Daily census averages around 30 patients.

Special procedures include post-operative care for orthopedic and trauma cases.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services.

Floating is required, and travelers may float to any area as a Patient Observer.

Travelers are expected to cover 50% of holidays and weekends per contract.

Preferred charting system experience is Community Hospital.

Two references from charge nurses or above are required.

CPI Blue Card is necessary for behavioral health roles.

Modules and ongoing education may be required as part of the orientation process.
