Pinter Operator
Position Responsibilities
- Complies with plant and department safety rules.
- Always maintains good housekeeping.
- Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance inspection checklist as required of the Pinter system.
- Performs test on electrical components as needed using an approved voltmeter.
- Repairs or replaces any bad or missing components of the Pinter System to keep it working properly.
- Maintains and monitors spare parts for the Pinter Systems.
- Carries tools, parts and materials needed to make repairs.
- Climbs on ladders, scaffolds, and mill equipment to make inspections and repairs to equipment.
- Supplies own hand tools, electrical and mechanical to make needed repairs.
- Considers all safety precautions.
- Performs work with minimum supervision.
- Perform any duties as assigned by plant engineer.
- Keeps Pinter systems clean of waste. Laps and tags.
- Keeps and maintains a logbook of daily progress and tracks maintenance.

Essential Skills and Experience
Standing - 7 – 7 ½ hours on concrete floorsSitting - Two 20-minute breaksMoving - moves about in an area approximately 150’ x 50’ while performing duties 6 hrs. on concrete floorMoving materials - carries supplies from supply room to work area.Hearing / Speaking - must be able to communicate with shift supervisor and operator.Reaching - up to 6’ from floor levelVisual Acuity - color vision required with minimal near vision to detect sub-quality yarn and machine defects . Must be able to read IDs, printed material and displays. Must not be colour-blind.Bending / Stooping - Frequent bending and stooping while performing dutiesLifting - Assist lifting machine parts weighing up to 100 lbs.Beneficial Skills and Experience
Prerequisites Mandatory : Must be able to read job instructions.Must be able to understand instruction from supervisionPreferred : Be able to pass screening and evaluationDemonstrated or tested mechanical aptitudeZinser Tech experience is preferredAbility to use and understand basic mechanic hand tools and gaugesAbility to use and understand maintenance and technical manualsAbility to use standard calculator and perform necessary functions for count and style changeoversPreferred : H.S. or G.E.D.
