RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity : RN - NICU

Job Details :

  • Level III NICU rapid response position with must be cleared to start 10-28
  • 2+ years Level III or higher NICU experience preferred
  • Patient ratios range from 1 : 1 to 1 : 4 depending on acuity
  • 51-bed Level III Neonatal ICU unit
  • Work with high-tech NICU equipment and utilize Cerner EMR system
  • Required certification : NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Preferred certifications : Stable and NIC-RNC
  • Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
  • Every other weekend schedule requirement
  • Floating responsibilities to Pediatrics, PICU, and Mother Baby units (babies only)
  • Must be detail oriented and organized
  • Day shift staffing includes 18 RNs, 1 charge RN, 2 respiratory therapists, and tech support
  • Night shift staffing includes 18 RNs, 1 charge RN, and 2 respiratory therapists

    • Facility :

    This 815-bed acute care facility serves as the regional referral center for tertiary and quaternary care in western North Carolina. The hospital is the only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and children's hospital in the region. The facility offers comprehensive specialties including cardiovascular services with the only open heart and interventional cardiology program in the area, orthopedics, neurosciences, oncology, pediatrics, women's services, and behavioral health. The onsite children's hospital features 96 beds dedicated to infants and children, including a 51-bed Level III NICU with 30 pediatric subspecialists. The hospital has earned recognition from U.S. News & World Report, Truven Health Analytics, and Healthgrades, and recently opened a new state-of-the-art patient tower with over 630,000 square feet.
