Ruby on Rails Backend Developer

A company is looking for a Ruby on Rails Backend Developer to support backend development for a Department of Veterans Affairs project.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and maintain backend components using Ruby on Rails, JSON controllers, Sidekiq, and RESTful APIs

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, plan sprints, and deliver high-quality solutions

Conduct backend system analysis, optimize performance, and support integration testing

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

3+ years of experience developing in Ruby on Rails and managing backend systems

Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle

Proficiency with code versioning and collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub, Jira, Confluence)

Active or the ability to obtain a government clearance
