Job Summary

The D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion is a 12-story hospital that will house 264 private rooms capable of converting to intensive care; a state-of-the-art neurosciences center. High-level, specialty care services for cardiovascular and thoracic patients will also be housed, along with advanced imaging. The 690,000 square foot hospital which also features twenty surgical and three interventional radiology suites is being constructed adjacent to the Frankel Cardiovascular Center, with plans for bridge and tunnel connections to existing inpatient care facilities. The anticipated opening of the new D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion is Fall 2025.

Hourly range for Registered Nurses $41.78-$64.81 / hour

• Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour
• Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour
• Day Shift Weekend Differential- $2.90 / hour
• Evening Shift Weekend Differential- $5.90 / hour
• Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour
• Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

Responsibilities

This 48 bed unit on Pavilion 8 provides care to neurology and neurosurgery patients with the following diagnoses : brain and spinal cord tumors, epilepsy, stroke, cerebral aneurysm, neuropathy, Myasthenia Gravis, head and spinal cord trauma.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level

This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.

Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.

Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.

Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period. Positions less than 20 hours / week may be combined.

Required Qualifications

Current Michigan RN license for all candidates that have passed the NCLEX.

NOTE : In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.

Desired Qualifications

Three to five (3 - 5) years neuro experience

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

BSN preferred

Work Schedule

Hours : 36 hours (0.9 FTE) per week with every other weekend

Shift : Nights, 8 and 12 hour shifts

Location : D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion

All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census
