PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Principle Mechanical Engineer I will be responsible for developing the mechanical design of the product and working with operations team in the integration of the product.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Oversee the mechanical design for multiple projects simultaneously.
• Understand, utilize, and improve internal processes and tools for the development of new systems
• Collaborate with the lead project engineers, chief engineer, and engineering design teams to ensure that mechanical systems meet the safety of flight needs and that the resulting product operates as intended.
• Develop mechanical fabrication and installation drawing, creation of removal instructions for existing components and installation instructions of new avionics and aircraft systems to ensure product will meet requirements.
• Assist in the creation of technical manual updates.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to a multi-discipline / multi-product engineering team.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Individual contributor working under the direction of technical leadership.
