Description :

This position is for a general nursing role.

The nurse will work primarily on a 12-hour day shift.

The schedule will typically include Monday, Tuesday, and a rotational third day.

Candidates should specify their experience with abdominal XI robots and vascular procedures.

The facility is a Level III trauma center with 636 beds and 21 operating rooms.

This position will not involve neuro or ortho cases.

First-time travelers will require approval from the hiring supervisor.

Patient ratios are 1 : 1.

Supporting staff includes a charge nurse, leads, supervisors, and a manager.

Charting is done using the EPIC system.

Staff are cross-trained in the main operating room and the urology center, but floating to other locations is not permitted.

Weekend rotation involves call coverage, with a general on-call schedule.

Call response time is expected to be 30 minutes.

Surgical scrubs will be provided, and scrub caps must be covered by a surgical bouffant.

There will be no call rooms available for staff.

Holiday expectations will be outlined by the hiring supervisor.
