Hill International is seeking a BIM / GIS Coordinator III in Los Angeles, California
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and reconciling the Design Team's and Construction Team's submittal data related to GIS and asset tracking.
- Collection and QA / QC of CMMS data for Bond impacted facilities and infrastructure, including but not limited to :
Review and upload equipment data from completed As-Builts to CMMS.
Review and upload GIS spatial data (building spaces, hardscape / softscape, landscape, infrastructure and security features) to CMMS.Managing and maintaining as-built information related to Bond impacted projects, including sources to produce files or reports such as CAD / BIM As-Built drawings.BuildLACCD CADD standards compliance review and management of drawings through Bluebeam.Managing BlueBeam Studio sessions and providing BlueBeam training.General technical support.Supporting As-Built / M&O data delivery review at Ops Closeout for current Bond projects, including but not limited to :BuildLACCD projectsDistrict wide projects (Infrastructure, security, energy, stormwater)Develop As-Built GIS maps of Bond impacted facilities and infrastructure.SharePoint record drawings database support for BuildLACCD and LACCD, including :Research dataManaging ProjectWise databaseUploading / Downloading files as neededManaging usersProviding trainingProviding monthly reportsGeneral tech supportProvide BIM submittal tracking, including :Review submittals to ensure compliance with BuildLACCD standards and BIM scope of services.BIM submittal coordination between college project teams and design / construction teams.BIM 360 model reviews / work flowing / administrationWork with BuildLACCD and LACCD teams to develop BIM and GIS scope of services as requested.Provide support as requested for ESRI ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online platforms; review GIS and BIM deliverables for ArcGIS Online integration.Site walks and spot checking of project sites, including LIDAR scanning, GPR surveying, GPS surveying and photography.Travel to BuildLACCD and LACCD project sites to provide QAQC and field data collection (up to 30% of scope).Site investigations to locate and verify existing utility infrastructure.Conflict resolution with college CPT teams, College Facility, and onsite contractors.Progress monitoring of utility installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings and schedules.Documentation and reporting of field observations and site conditions.Qualifications
Minimum 6 years' recent experience in Architecture or Construction Management, with a focus on GIS and Building Information Modeling (BIM).Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field (can be substituted with 8 years of experience).Advanced GIS concepts, principles, practices, and techniques, including computer mapping, attribute conversions, transfer, manipulation and analysis.Experience using BIM for 4D and project coordination / clash detection.Experience working with design and construction teams.Strong knowledge of BIM and GIS workflows.Experience with modeling and coordination tasks within AutoCAD, Revit and Map 3D.Experience with data management tasks within SharePoint, BIM 360 Docs and Bluebeam.Experience with field survey data collection using ArcGIS Collector.Strong experience with ArcGIS and Python software, tools and applications.Strong relational database concepts, methods and practices.Salary range for this position is $65,000 – $95,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicant's qualifications, education, experience and work location.
