Description of the role :
The Caregiver is a part of the Cornerstone team, a resident-focused, high performance, high commitment work team that supports the motto of, “creating healthy living and work environments.”
Responsibilities :
- Obtaining vital signs and notifying the supervising nurse of deviations
- Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming needs, toileting, and walking
- Recording temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates
- Being part of delivering specific core programs such as falls prevention, exercise, etc.
- Medication reminders
- Housekeeping duties and safety compliance
- Follows the resident’s ISP as directed.
- Follows the daily task sheets developed for each resident.
- Communicates with the appropriate supervisor about changes in the resident’s status and / or the home situation
- Utilizes standard precautions and infection control procedures.
- Follows written instructions and requests assistance and further instructions with new or unfamiliar situations.
- Prepares resident progress notes and submits this documentation in a timely manner.
- Assists the resident in maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Exhibits a caring and respectful attitude toward the resident and the resident’s property.
- Works with the Resident Services Director and the rest of the operations team to build relationships and strong communication with residents and families
- Assists with activities and encourage resident engagement and participation
- Upholds confidentiality of residents and coworkers, HIPAA
- Attends bi-weekly in-service meetings and mandatory trainings
- Adheres to all community and company policies
- Understands proper use of facility equipment.
- Reports observations concerning structural and equipment wear, defects, and malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Strong verbal and written communication skillsDrug Free.Clear Background.No Communicable diseases.Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally.25 to 50 pounds of force frequently.10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift / move objects.Constant standing and walking.Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, turning, and stretching.Finger and hand dexterity.Visual and hearing acuity.Benefits :
