The
Marketing Manager, Social Media
will lead Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids presence across organic social media platforms and is responsible for developing and executing innovative organic social media strategies that drive engagement, strength brand voice and delivery measure business results. The ideal candidate has hands-on content creator experience, passion for social media and trending content and is a leader who can guide the team and the brand toward world class storytelling and top tier content creation.
This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based out of our Northbrook, IL office with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
A day in the life as a Marketing Manager, Social Media…
Ownership of all Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids Social Media platforms including Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok
Lead Creative and Production teams in ideation around and creation of reactive social content that responds to new social trends, and relevant home furnishings or pop culture news
Expand social media reach and maintain favorable consumer sentiment and consistently growing engagement
Design and continuously evolve social media and influencer strategy
Create strategies to test new social channels and product features where relevant
Oversee hindsight and Social Media reporting to key stakeholders; articulate insights, trends, key learnings
Oversee community management, including moderating support for our social media initiatives, scheduling content, being the voice of Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids and escalating opportunities for thought leadership, engagement and crisis management to appropriate people
Work in collaboration with other team members and cross functional partners to ensure initiatives have 360-degree support and alignment across all channels
Manage the social media content calendar; work collectively with Public Relations and Merchandising
Creative and eCommerce to update the most current information; partner with creative teams on content curation and development
Develop monthly reporting and optimization / implications; recommend areas for improvement and implement opportunities to show engagement and potential return on investment
Serve as a liaison to demonstrate and provide case studies and training, as necessary, to individuals on how to leverage social media efforts in a positive association to the brand; contribute to social media corporate policies and best practices
Maintain community management standards, moderation and escalation process to ensure design and communication are consistent with standards
Develop, implement, and manage innovative ideas / promotions to drive greater relevance, engagement, and grow external social media communities
Stay current with social media trends and incorporate, as appropriate, to improve the customer experience, drive sales, and leverage ongoing customer involvement
Monitor all social media platforms and respond / advise, as necessary
What you’ll bring to the table…
Proven track record of developing and executing successful multi-platform social strategies
Experience managing influencer relationships and paid social campaigns and content
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and pivot quickly when needed
Previous experience managing social media communities including moderation and content programming for retail / home lifestyle brands
Excellent written language and editorial skills
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with social media management and analytics systems
Ability to integrate critical information from many diverse areas
We’d love to hear from you if you have…
6+ years of relevant marketing experience; retail experience is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field
Background in journalism, editorial, web development, site content management, photography and or Photoshop also preferred
Experience with copywriting, storytelling, concepting and visual communication skills
Proficiency with social media tools and analytics platforms
Minimum Starting Rate :
$68,000.00 Annually
Up to :
$90,000.00 Annually Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to your salary, based on your role, associates may be eligible for other compensation including bonuses, sales incentives, and long term incentives.
