Sterile Processing Instrument Coordinator

Description Location : UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion, US : CO : Aurora Department : Sterile Processing AIP FTE : Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift : Days Pay : $22.80 - $29.64 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary : Coordinates instrument inventory and assists in ordering and maintaining pars. Collaborates with the OR staff to ensure sufficient instrumentation is available. Responsibilities : Ensures instruments trays are up and operational,. Obtains quotes from vendors as needed, and submits orders for approval. Works with OR staff to ensure proper instruments are available and instrument par levels are maintained. Assists SPD leadership with solutions. Update files, coordinate instruments needed, count sheets are created and maintained, assists in tracking instruments sent out for repair. Function in the department as SPD Tech completing all duties and functions in that role (decontamination, assembling, sterilization). Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements : Minimum Required Education : High School diploma or GED. Required Licensure / Certification : Certified as a CSPDT (Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) from CBSPD or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) - OR - State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration and certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
